TRAINER

PUPPY HEADSTART 101
In young puppies, early behavioral shaping and habit formation are critical to preventing the development of undesirable behaviors during their formative period. Dogs that receive structured training early often demonstrate reliable obedience, even when other behavioral challenges are present, because foundational skills were established at the appropriate developmental stage. While obedience training can be successfully implemented at any age, my programs generally initiate formal training once a dog is over 20 weeks old to align with optimal cognitive and behavioral readiness.

Puppy training starts as soon as you welcome your new puppy home, and it should continue throughout their life. The earlier you begin, the more effective the training will be as your dog matures.
My primary objective in puppy training is to help them adapt to our homes and address any misbehaviors before they escalate. While training your puppy, I focus on shaping their behavior in a fun way, ensuring they enjoy the process and don’t even they are "working."
I typically start informal obedience training at a young age through fun play and
learning. The Resident Board and Train is available for pups that are 6 months old or older.
